Matthew 6:19-21 KVJ 1611

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:19-21 Wycliffe- Purvey, 1395

Do not ye treasure to you treasures in earth, where rust and moth destroyeth, and where thieves delve out and steal;

but treasure to you treasures in heaven, where neither rust nor moth destroyeth, and where
thieves delve not out nor steal.

For where thy treasure is, there also thine heart is.

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

That last sentence jumped out at me and I looked up the word heart in Strongs.

As the word heart is used here it seems to connotate the seat of all physical and spiritual life.

And in verse 20 the word heaven according to context points to the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells.

When God changes us, our true wealth, the spiritual wealth, the only wealth that matters, is a storehouse over flowing with precious, immutable truths of our Heavenly Father.

Once thus changed, not only do we have a new spiritual outlook, but it is also physically life changing.

These verses contain a very precious promise. No longer are we in bondage spiritually or physically once our treasure ; that which we hold the most dear to hearts, is found with the Lord.
